GET INVOLVED
At Our Village, there are many ways to get involved!
Adult, Child and Teen Volunteers are Needed!
Adults:
1. Consider volunteering as a Play Tutor or Behavior Coach in one of our fun and impactful, Play or Social Groups for CHILDREN, TEENS OR YOUNG ADULTS! We can provide clinical supervision to Master's level Practicum students (e.g. MFT), and candidates working towards their BCBA and RPT credentials. 2. Consider helping us to further develop our programs and community ties in areas such as: development, outreach, events, marketing, and/or fundraising! Children and Teens: 1. Consider joining us once weekly as a CHILD Mentor! It is hard to find an opportunity for a child to volunteer! We are constantly, actively recruiting new Play friends ages 4-12, boys and girls! We need Mentors or "advanced players" for our many fun, play & social skills groups in our "Kid 2 Kid" group program! Mentors must have no language delays, have strong social skills and play skills, be able to follow directions, and be open to playing and learning about empathy, friendship and ability awareness. Research shows that children who participate in these groups gain many benefits including: increased empathy for others, improved confidence and self-esteem and improved play and social skills. And Mentors Play for FREE! We may also be able to provide a Service patch for your local Girl Scout or Boy Scout Troop! 2. Teens, ages 13- 18, consider volunteering in our groups and events! We are happy to sign off on your High School or Service Club Volunteer Hours! Your help means so much to us and the families we serve! |
